WARFARE AND DELIVERANCE (WADE) is an ongoing Bible-based training class designed to equip believers to understand spiritual warfare, recognize the battles connected to their lives and assignments, grow in spiritual discernment, and learn the responsible exercise of the authority and deliverance available through Jesus Christ.
The course goes beyond discussing warfare merely as conflict with demons or external opposition. Students are trained to recognize personal warfare, understand the relationship between warfare and spiritual rank, identify areas in which the enemy seeks to prevail, and learn how faith, obedience, submission, preparation, consecration, wisdom, prayer and the counsel of God affect the battles they face.
As the class progresses, students are introduced to the ministry of deliverance, the relationship between salvation and deliverance, the discernment of spiritual manifestations, the identification of manifested spirits, and the responsible exercise of spiritual authority. Particular attention is given to avoiding a manifestation-conscious approach to ministry in which outward spiritual activity is emphasized without establishing people in Christ and in the Word.
WADE is both instructional and formative. The sessions include biblical teaching, questions and answers, student reflections, personal assignments, case studies, correction, prayer, practical ministry situations and training in learning to inquire of the Lord rather than responding to spiritual problems by assumption.
The course also emphasizes that spiritual authority must be accompanied by character, humility, submission and preparation. Students are progressively trained not merely to know about warfare and deliverance, but to become effective servants who can discern situations, receive divine counsel, respond responsibly and participate in the work entrusted to them.
SANCTIFICATION provides an important foundation for this training. The course repeatedly connects effective warfare and deliverance with purity, consecration, obedience, submission to Christ and the formation of the believer.

Students should complete the School of Sanctification before progressing into WARFARE AND DELIVERANCE. WADE builds upon the foundation of consecration, purity, obedience and submission developed through Sanctification training.
Students should have access to a Bible and be prepared to study Scripture carefully rather than depend only upon experiences, manifestations or previously held assumptions.
Students should be willing to pray, meditate on the Word, inquire of the Lord, complete reflection exercises and apply instructions given during the course.
Students should approach WADE as training rather than passive teaching. The class includes correction, personal examination, assignments, practical exercises and situations that require students to think, respond and grow.
Students should be willing to examine their own lives and identify areas of personal warfare instead of viewing spiritual warfare only as something happening to other people.
Students should be willing to receive correction, submit to the training process and revisit areas that have not yet been mastered.
Students undertaking practical ministry should learn to inquire of the Lord, examine situations carefully and avoid acting merely from assumptions, excitement, previous experiences or the desire to demonstrate spiritual power.
WARFARE AND DELIVERANCE is intended for believers who desire a deeper and more disciplined understanding of spiritual warfare and deliverance.
It is especially suitable for students who have completed foundational training in sanctification and are ready to progress into practical spiritual warfare and ministry formation.
The course is relevant to pastors, ministers, ministry workers, intercessors, Christian leaders and believers who may encounter people requiring prayer, counsel, spiritual discernment or deliverance ministry.
It is also intended for believers seeking to understand their own recurring battles, areas of resistance, spiritual responsibilities, assignments and the relationship between these battles and their growth in Christ.
WADE is particularly suited to students who want to move beyond a manifestations-only understanding of deliverance and become established in Scripture, discernment, character, spiritual responsibility and the counsel of God.
Lesson 1 — Introduction to Warfare and Deliverance: War, Authority, Rank and Personal Battles
The opening WADE session establishes the spiritual and practical framework for the class. The teaching introduces warfare and deliverance as realities affecting different areas of life and begins exploring battle, opposition, spiritual authority, rank, submission and the necessity of discerning what is actually happening in a person's life.
The session also demonstrates that not every loss, difficulty or uncomfortable circumstance should automatically be interpreted in the same way. Students are challenged to inquire of God, discern the nature of a situation and understand how warfare may intersect with calling, obedience, relationships, finances, responsibility and spiritual formation.
A major emphasis is placed on authority, submission and the responsibility that accompanies spiritual rank.
Lesson 2 — Everyone Has a Warfare to Fight: Rank, the Fight of Faith and Identifying Your Battle
This lesson crystallizes several foundational statements that shape the WADE curriculum:
Every believer has a warfare to fight.
A person's warfare is connected to his or her rank.
Rank is determined by the Lord.
The battle is fundamentally a fight of faith rather than a fight of the flesh.
Submission can grant rank, while preparation fits a person into that rank.
Students are challenged to identify the particular areas of life in which resistance continually appears and to stop treating recurring battles as normal merely because they have existed for a long time.
The lesson introduces an important WADE exercise: asking the Lord to expose one's personal warfare, identifying the enemy's patterns and recording what is revealed clearly enough for the battle to be understood and addressed.
This lesson develops the personal-warfare exercise introduced previously.
Students report on the battles that were identified in their lives and examine how those battles appear through areas such as truthfulness, courage, prayer, consecration, purity, thought patterns, emotional responses, submission and obedience.
The session demonstrates that recognizing a battle is only the beginning. Students must seek the counsel of God concerning how to prevail.
Prayer, Scripture meditation, wisdom, accountability, disciplined habits and obedience to specific divine instructions become practical strategies rather than abstract spiritual ideas.
The lesson also highlights the need to distinguish the real enemy from people or circumstances and teaches students to seek God's counsel before acting.
This extensive lesson moves deeply into the ministry of deliverance.
The class examines the relationship between salvation and deliverance, including whether an unsaved person may experience deliverance and why lasting liberty cannot be separated from becoming established in Christ.
A major part of the session addresses the danger of becoming manifestation-conscious while neglecting the transformation and establishment of the individual receiving ministry.
Students examine manifestations of spirits, including manifestations expressed through speech and behaviour, and are trained to discern what is occurring rather than merely react to outward activity.
The lesson uses practical cases to explore questioning, diagnosis, discernment and ministry response.
The later portions develop the relationship between spiritual authority, humility, submission and faith. Students are shown that greater authority is not merely a matter of possessing spiritual gifts or witnessing manifestations; character, humility, obedience and life under authority are central to its responsible exercise.
Lesson 5 marks the beginning of a new semester following a one-month period of revision.
The class deliberately reconnects warfare and deliverance with the foundation established through Sanctification. Students are called to receive correction, rebuke, training and spiritual formation rather than simply accumulate teaching.
A major practical case develops around how a minister should respond when someone comes with a problem or prayer request.
Students are trained not to jump immediately into prayer or reproduce familiar ministry patterns. Instead, they must learn to inquire of the Lord, listen carefully, understand the person, discern what God is addressing and minister according to divine counsel.
The session distinguishes teaching from training. Students are corrected, questioned and made to work through practical ministry situations so that knowledge becomes disciplined spiritual practice.
The lesson increasingly presents WADE as the training of soldiers rather than spectators discussing spiritual warfare from a distance.
Can a single person host a spiritual company, power, character or function—and how would that change what the person is capable of doing?
The session begins with practical orientation around the online learning system before moving into the principal WADE teaching.
The lesson introduces the biblical idea of the host, examining its relationship with concepts such as an army, camp and encampment.
This becomes the foundation for exploring what it means to understand the army of the Lord and the people through whom God carries out particular assignments.
The class examines John the Baptist and Elijah, including the statement that John would operate in the spirit and power of Elijah. Through this discussion, students explore spiritual inheritance, assignment, power, rank, service and how Old Testament realities may illuminate New Testament spiritual realities.
The teaching also develops the concept of being a host and prepares the class for a broader study of God's army.
Students are continually challenged to learn through Scripture, questions, inquiry and dependence upon the Holy Spirit rather than through conjecture.
This lesson functions as an introduction to a major new WADE theme that can continue developing in subsequent classes.
This lesson continues the study of the Army of the Lord by moving from the introductory concept of hosts into the order by which God prepares, assigns, trains and works through His servants.
Students revisit what it means to be a host and a possessed vessel before examining biblical examples involving Abraham, Israel, Moses, the Angel of the Lord, guardian angels, covenant, awakening, delegated authority and accountability. The lesson also explores the relationship between the Holy Spirit and angelic ministry and emphasizes that functioning in the Army of the Lord requires humility, submission, discernment and willingness to remain under authority and instruction.
